Our Trips

Fluke Season

Fluke & Sea Bass

Full day fluke and sea bass fishing begins sometime in early to mid-may and runs through late August to early September. Trips are normally 9-10 hours in length. Fishing consists of drift fishing baits and bucktails in anywhere from 40-60 feet of water. These trips fill fast due to their popularity so early bookings are suggested.

Codfish

Cod

Cod can be caught year round in our waters. Both summer and winter into early spring can produce good numbers of these kings of the New England bottom fishery. The fall fishery provides an extra bonus of some of our best Jumbo Seabass fishing of the year mixed in. At 10-12 hour duration these trips are longer due to cod being a little further offshore than most of our other targeted species. Using both clam bait rigs and jigs, we are usually fishing in 90-150 feet of water.

Tautog

Blackfish

Blackfish A.K.A Tautog season is at it’s peak in the fall but there is some fun to be had with them in the spring. Due to their very coastal nature these trips are typically 8 hours in length. Anchoring on structure such as rockpiles and wrecks in 20-80 feet using bait rigs offering crabs is the way to go to catch these hard fighting bottom dwellers.

Striped Bass

Striped Bass can be caught from spring through early fall. A prized gamefish they are caught using a variety of methods from trolling wire line, to drifting eels, and even sight fishing with spinning gear. Trips are usually 8 hours. We typically book these trips as full boat charters but can occasionally put together a split trip.

Tuna

Several species of tuna show up in the water south of us. These trips vary in time length and price so call for details. Trolling, jigging, and bait fishing are all methods we use to target yellowfin, bluefin, bigeye, and albacore tuna.

Half-day Fishing

A great way to spend time with the family and friends these trips are a great introduction to the joys of salt water fishing. With a short boat ride to the grounds these trips provide plenty to keep even the most novice of anglers engaged and entertained. We typically bottom fish targeting fluke, seabass, and blackfish. We offer these trips from late spring until early fall. The bonus to our evening half day trips during the summer is a great sunset photo op to commemorate your trip.

Working Man’s Special

Essentially the same trip as our half-day trip but with a little added flexibility to target the more serious fishermen. Geared towards the angler who just can’t get the time during the day to do one of our full day trips. Not limited to just the summer months like our half-day trips, these trips are a great way to get in some early season fluking or early fall blackfishing as an afternoon trip. Booked on a request basis as an open boat style trip or full boat charter just call or text for availability.

Squid

Squid fishing is generally a mid to late spring fishery. We fish mainly at night with plenty of lighting to draw the squid to us. The spawn generally starts in mid May and that’s when we begin targeting these tasty mollusks. Whether you are looking to fill the cooler for bait or for calamari call or text us for availability and pricing.
